Mrs. Ortiz is a retired bank Vice President who joined Medical Center Weight Loss Clinic in March of 2011, shortly after losing her husband to the dreaded disease, Diabetes. The devastating effects Diabetes has on the human body made such a strong impact on Elma, she decided to help others avoid her beloved husband's fate. Elma approached her son, Arturo Ortiz, Weight Loss Counselor at MCWLC and was hired as Patient Coordinator, a position Elma enjoys and finds extremely rewarding. Additional responsibilities include creating, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, while performing audits, managing inventory control, and supervising the clinic's payment center.
We also encourage teaching and molding the next generation by allowing students to rotate/extern throughout our clinic.
